Never the Bride is an English rock band, founded before 1991, fronted by Bristol native Nikki Lamborn, who writes original songs along with the band's keyboard player, Catherine Feeney. They have played around the world, supporting, among others, The Who, Robert Plant, ZZ Top, The Pretenders, Alice Cooper, and Peter Frampton.
One of their songs, "The Living Tree", was recorded by Shirley Bassey and reached #37 on the UK Singles Chart. Nikki and Catherine produced Bassey's album, Get the Party Started, which peaked at #6 on the UK Albums Chart.
Nikki was playing with the "Nikki B Band" as well as working as a hairdresser in Bristol when she met Vivian Stanshall on the Old Profanity Showboat. Vivian convinced her to go to London and become a professional singer.
